Delivering the Promise of Natural Medicine

Metagenics has a rich history of innovation, but the most significant contribution to advancement of nutraceutical technology is the creation of MetaProteomics, our nutrigenomics research center. MetaProteomics’ main laboratory is located in Gig Harbor Washington with an affiliate laboratory located in Cornell, New York. There are 35 scientists working in these facilities to unravel the science of nutrigenomics and apply it to the creation of nutraceuticals and medical foods that set a new standard of safety and efficacy. The MetaProteomics nutrigenomics research laboratories are revolutionizing nutraceutical development using their comprehensive research system called the ExpresSyn® process. Recent breakthrough discoveries have opened the understanding to a completely new mechanism of action and new class of natural therapeutics called Selective Kinase Response modulators (SKRMs).  SKRMs offer new promise for people suffering from lifestyle-related health conditions.

Since the founding of Metagenics in 1983—almost two decades before there was a Human Genome Project—we've believed in the power of nutraceuticals to positively influence genetic expression to improve health. Today, there is a word for that belief —nutrigenomics—and it is currently being touted as opening a new era of health care for chronic illness. That's no surprise to us. We predicted it in 1983.

What does MetaProteomics mean for healthcare practitioners and patients? It means better products and better clinical outcomes. MetaProteomics and the ExpresSyn® process have enabled us to initiate novel ways to evaluate natural ingredients for formulas that deliver a higher degree of safety and efficacy for patient health.

MetaProteomics using the ExpresSyn® Process is setting new standards of clinical certainty when using natural alternatives—making Metagenics the clear leader of our industry segment.
